More Detailed Info
The NRS Maverik II is the two person version of the Maverik. It is almost three feet longer and weighs an extra fourteen pounds.
It is a great option for a larger person who wants to paddle solo or for kayaking with a friend or partner.
The Maverik is an extremely stable and sturdy inflatable kayak that is best suited for everyday recreational flat water use or for mild rivers with up to class I or II rapids.
It is fairly basic in the fact that there are no thigh straps and no cargo straps. This is unfortunate but for the affordable price, sometimes simplicity is okay.
The Maverik II has a phenomenal 10-year warranty and could likely last you a lifetime with a little care.
For much more detail please read the full review of the solo version, the NRS MaverIK as they are virtually the same kayak except for size and weight.
Final Thoughts
The Maverik II is made very well, is highly durable, is versatile enough to be able to paddle decently on flat water and quite well in mild rapids.
There is enough room for two plus a little gear and it is very stable so ideal for kayakers of all skill levels and ages. With a 10 year warranty, you really can’t go wrong here.
