The Strike II is super rugged as well as rigid and is backed by a great five year warranty. It is self-bailing so will get rid of any excess water and is quite comfortable.

More Detailed Info
The seats in the Strike II are adjustable as well as removable so you can adjust your seating to your comfort – great option.
There are lots of cargo loops for attaching your gear and the Tributary Strike II can hold up to 450 pounds. It weighs 47 lbs. which is still easily carried by two adults.
I think the load capacity of 450 lbs. is a little bit low considering this is a two person kayak and consequently will not be able to hold a lot of gear if two good sized adults are paddling.
However the Strike II does work well for day trips for families and even dogs.
As the Strike is extremely stable, it is well suited for beginner to intermediate kayakers. It won’t be the fastest kayak in the water but it is a good quality tandem inflatable kayak that offers versatility and ease of use.
Please read our review on the Tributary Strike I for more details as they are virtually the same kayak except for size and weight.
Final Thoughts
The Tributary brand is part of the Aire fleet of inflatable kayaks that are manufactured overseas.
They are not as solidly constructed as Aire’s American made inflatable kayaks but they still offer good quality and at a more affordable price.
For a recreational paddler, the Tributary brand is fantastic. With a five year warranty, there isn’t much to worry about. Its versatility makes it an extremely popular choice.
